Unfortunately, the victims of such campaigns are often members of marginalized groups, as we have seen with the child benefits scandal. We will no longaaer remain silent but will fight against injustice!
OliveX will carry out its watchdog role of holding the government accountable with integrity. With courage and creativity. And in collaboration with citizens, aiming for co-creation in the long run. At the helm of OliveX is our founder and editor-in-chief, Ozzy Dogan, a respected political scientist and journalist based in Amsterdam. OliveX
Our name, OliveX, can be divided into two parts. The Olive is a symbol of both resistance and peace, of revolution and victory. It stands for Palestinian freedom fighters as a symbol of their struggle against occupation. The olive also holds valuable significance in both the Bible and the Quran. The ‘X’ is a tribute to freedom fighter and Muslim minister Malcolm X, whose life was marked by his courageous and ongoing fight for justice and equality. OliveX is inspired by his philosophy: the ability to think independently and the right to self-defense.

We are an independent journalistic platform giving a voice to the unheard. We are a platform dedicated to exploring (inter)national politics and diversity, with a focus on highlighting perspectives overlooked by mainstream media. OliveX is an activist platform for marginalized groups.
